Cold Brew Recipe
What you'll need:
Cold Brew coffee filter
Pitcher or other vessel for brewing
Something to strain the packed filter (ex. - V60 or other pourover brewer; you could even use 2 utensils)
Spoon
12 ounce bag high-quality specialty coffee**
10.5 cups water
Directions:
Insert filter into brewing vessel so it may be filled with coffee with high edges to prevent it from allowing granules to escape.
Grind coffee coarsely, similar to a grind for a French Press.
Pour grounds in filter.
Pour water over the grounds, trying to saturate all coffee.
Stir to completely saturate coffee.
Wait 10 minutes and stir coffee again until all grounds are submerged.
Brew 8 hours at room temperature (78°F).
Pull filter pack from infusion and prop on a brewer to allow liquid to drain for 10 minutes.
Enjoy! This recipe yields a cold brew concentrate which may be diluted with one part ice and one part water/milk OR sipped solo for an extra strong brew.
**Coffee Notes: Any coffee may be used for cold brew. Here are our recommendations from our offerings:
Philippines Mt. Apo Natural Light Roast - Fruity notes, wine-like mouthfeel
El Salvador Bourbon Medium Roast - Nutty notes, balanced
Philippines Atok Bourbon Dark Roast - Caramel, dark chocolate
